ABOUT

Dr. Rachael Hall is a designer, artist, researcher and educator whose work connects sound, culture, and land through Indigenous design processes. Drawing from her knowledge and experience playing and making customary Tongan musical instruments, she actively contributes to preserving tradition while opening new pathways for evolution. Through designing and handcrafting bespoke and re-imagined instruments, she weaves notions of past, present, and future, inviting musicians to explore new possibilities in sound, musical expression and cultural identity.
